New Review about Nitewalk at Proggies.ch

Darker Shades of Gray at Proggies.ch:
"...shure, tough guitar riffs are the main thing about Nitewalk ... the rythm section is excellent and full of ideas ... Kai Kleinewig's bass playing is mixed in front - and it is a pleasure to listen to ... on the other side the songs get alive with the voice of Daniel Fischer ... to my opinion the vocals are sometimes too much theatric, but thats a metter of taste ... sometimes there are some keyboards arranged within the songs played by Marek Arnold - but - Nitewalk is a guitar band ... finally: a technically perfect album with cool riffs ... a rock album with finesse ..."

9outof10 Points to Nitewalks release from spanish METALCRY.com

Mega-Metal.de about Darker Shades of Gray : Siegfried Wehkamp[translated]: "It really may fail - just have a look at "Lulu" - when four professional musicians allow themselves a "free run on everything". But Nitewalk's gentlemen consequently stick to their own but broad preferences and came up with a very homogeneous album. Guitarplayer and leader in charge Christian Jungebluth (ex Accid Reign), No Inner-Limits' voice Daniel Fischer, the man at the bass Kai kleinewig (Tubeless, Voice2Basss) and drummer Michael Ehré (Metalium, Firewind, Uli Jon Roth) combined a colourful palette of styles. Progressive, sure but not at all. At first, there is the slacked beginning opener "Treasure Land" which rapidly merges awesome grooves. "Fire" pairs a slapped-bass with sticky metal beats. The Piano-Ballad "Gray Angels" is fantastic as well. "Watchtower" has no bearing on the US-Prog-Freaks but is context the darkest and roughest Song within the Nitewalk album.
At any time you may explore something new on the album. Even after a few times listening you're attention is challenged. Every part even if it seems exceptionally at place is as convincing as not being misplaced. Every musician gives best on his ground and for the band (especially the bassplaying is a refreshing surprise). The "Noncept-Prog" framework seemes to be very stable one - you experience myself amazed.
However, this may no be a fitting album for the hard as bone and blinded metals. Fans of rock, that welcome the view beyond the edge and especially those musicians amongst, will rejoice in "Darker Shades of Gray". Eight points is not less for an extraordinary surprise that I take off my hat to." [whole article in german]

Great Review Rocktimes.de

Darker Shades of Gray Review at Rocktimes.de Jochen v. Arnim: "... this is not an easy listening album ... but it's not hard to listen to ... fine arranged, with a steady change between keyboards and guitars within a blues-jazz-claassic feel and elements of several metal subgenres ... listen carefully, often and you will explore the class of this album ...
